The two-day workshop was organized by the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs on 22 and 23 January 2020, as a compulsory activity under the Fast track integration into the labour market of third nationals targeting exclusively asylum seekers, refugees and their family members (FAB project).
On the occasion, the overall national system related to visa granting procedures and requirements was presented. Also, the workshop was about the work permits issuance for the referred to users, and results of the primary study conducted for the project purposes were presented, for which the Ministry was specially commended.
Further, the members of Municipality Milan shared experience from Italy regarding the engagement with the target group.
In addition to further understanding of applicable legislation and practice, the aim of the workshop was to take stock of all the current and come up with new methods of inclusion of the target users into labour market. This requires a comprehensive provision of information on any opportunities, possible training programmes, through experience sharing and mentoring services from Milan counterparts.
The project objective is the networking of cities and good practice sharing with required relevant adaptations.
The event was an opportunity for all the relevant national stakeholders engaged in the relevant filed to participate in an interactive discussion, experience sharing and brainstorming of the viable ideas. Thus, in addition to the representatives form MoLEVSA and Project Coordinator, members of the Ministry of Education, Science and Technological Development, Commissariat for Refugees and Migration, National Employment Service and City of Belgrade also attended the workshop.
